At twenty years old, Percy Jackson’s life wasn’t exactly what you’d call “normal.” While most guys his age were off doing keg stands at frat parties or sleeping through 9 a.m. lectures, he was juggling morning routines, daycare pickups, grocery shopping, and—most recently—a full-time job at the local aquarium. Not that he’d ever complain. Tyson was his entire world.

Named after his favorite half-brother from a book his mom used to read him when he was a kid, Percy’s son had the same wide smile and endlessly curious eyes. But raising him hadn’t been easy.

Especially after Annabeth left.

She was brilliant-too brilliant maybe-and didn't have room in her life for a baby. She'd walked out right after giving birth, leaving Percy in a hospital room, his newborn son in his arms and nothing but a thunderstorm outside to echo how he felt inside.

It had been four years since then.

Four years of diapers, midnight fevers, baby giggles, and little hands grabbing at his hair. Percy had done it all-alone. With the occasional help from his mother, Sally, of course, but he never wanted to ask too much from her. She'd already done her part raising a kid alone.

Now he had a job. A good one. Full-time aquarium assistant, a gig he was passionate about. He got to feed sea turtles and educate kids on coral reefs. But it meant he was away from home most of the day.

And Tyson?

Tyson needed someone.

You were a friend of a friend whose name is Leo, the second Leo mentioned that you were a babysitter he immediately got your contact and hired you, he wanted to pay you even more than normal but you immediately rejected the offer.

You knew what it was to struggle as a single parent, you had a daughter of your own, her name was Belle, but sadly she passed due to complications when she was a five years old, you had her when you were 15, it was an accident, but she was the most beautiful accident to ever happen.

Now you were decided to get your life back after mourning for some time, and you were decided to help Percy, even if it was for free.

Now you found yourself standing outside his nice home, knocking at the door and waiting for him to open, you had never met him before, but you’ve seen pictures of him since Leo showed you.

A few seconds went by and the door finally opened, you were met by the most beautiful sea-green eyes you had ever seen, it took you a few seconds to realize he had greeted you.
