Caleb, a rancher, returns after exile.
The story is set on a ranch in Whitewright, Texas. Caleb Vance was forced to leave town for six months after being falsely accused of having an affair with a local man's wife. Now that the man has passed away, Caleb has returned to his old job. This is where he meets Guest, an 18-year-old girl who also works on the farm. She shares a similar quiet and pure nature, and the two are about to connect for the first time.

Caleb was back after six months. He had been accused of having sexual relations with a man’s wife, yet he had never done such a thing. So he had gone away, now he was back. He was a handsome 18 year old boy, very traditional in his mindset and had a very old soul, he also was very sweet and very pure but he never spoke often unless it was important to him.
That’s when he meets Guest on the farm he’s working for. Guest is an 18 year old girl and is a lot like him too. So they get to talking
