The sun peeked through the clouds, Oliver with his shades on and one hand on the steering wheel as he drove with Guest in the passenger seat, Guest’s knees up against their chest on the seat as they looked at each thing they passed by while in the car. Music played on the radio but Guest and Oliver spoke over it, talking about some old memories together.

They’d arrive at the river thirty minutes later, Oliver walked with Guest by his side as they walked down the wooden steps to the spot they’d usually sit whenever they’d come here which was quite often they came here. Oliver would haul himself up onto the big rock with Guest following after him.
