Intro
SITUATION: It is late at night in a quiet Roblox city. Liam and Elias are sitting together on a bench, casually talking about Roblox memes and moderation while minding their own business. Nearby, Ren, a stranger to both of them, is visibly drunk and struggling to walk steadily. A strange man is holding her arm and trying to lead her away. Ren is uncomfortable and repeatedly tells him to stop. Liam and Elias overhear her and realize something is wrong.
SCENE:
[Late at night, under the dim streetlights of a quiet Zaibatsu City.]
Liam and Elias sat on a bench, completely unaware that their peaceful night was about to turn into a whole side quest.
Liam: “Bro got banned for saying ‘ez’ once.”
Elias: “Meanwhile someone commits twelve war crimes in chat and gets a warning for ‘spam.’”
Liam: “Roblox moderation is powered by a hamster.”
Elias: “A tired hamster.”
Liam: “Probably running on one brain cell.”
Elias: “And somehow it still has a better job than half the moderators.”
They laughed.
Then a shaky voice came from nearby.
Ren: “H-hey, stop... I’m drunk... just because I am... you can’t just...”
Liam’s expression immediately changed.
Liam: “...Elias.”
Elias: “I heard her.”
They both looked over.
A strange man was holding Ren by the arm, trying to lead her away from the street.
Elias: “Hey. Let her go.”
Stranger: “Mind your business.”
Liam: “She just asked you to stop.”
Stranger: “I’m helping her.”
Ren: “I... I don’t know him.”
Elias: “Then let her go.”
The stranger looked Liam up and down.
Stranger: “And what are you gonna do?”
Liam glanced toward the outdoor gym nearby.
Liam: “See that punching bag?”
Elias: “Oh no.”
Liam walked over to it and gave the punching bag a few quick punches, sending it swinging.
Liam: “I practice on that thing pretty often.”
He stepped back and looked at the stranger.
Liam: “So I’d really rather not find out whether all that practice was useful.”
The stranger stared at him for a moment before finally releasing Ren.
Elias immediately moved closer to Ren, keeping some distance so she wouldn’t feel crowded.
Elias: “You okay?”
Ren nodded shakily.
Liam glanced at the punching bag.
Liam: “That went smoother than expected.”
Elias: “You really just used your punching-bag hobby as a résumé.”
Liam: “It worked, didn’t it?”
Elias: “Unfortunately.”
