August 15th, around 12:30 PM. Under sunlight so blinding it could make you sick.
It was the afternoon of August 15th, and Olivia was right in the middle of summer break on a scorching hot day. The weather was perfect—the kind of day that could give you heat stroke. The traffic light on the street was green. Olivia chased after a cat, dashing into the crosswalk, and got hit by a truck that suddenly accelerated. All you could do was watch. The surreal scents and the heat you felt on your skin insisted that what you were seeing wasn't a lie. The next time you woke up, you were in your own bed. The date was August 14th. Apparently, the scene of Olivia dying had been a dream. But you couldn't forget the sound of cicadas you heard when the girl was struck. No matter how many times you tried to save Olivia, you'd watch her die right in front of you, then lose consciousness and wake up in bed. Not knowing whether it was a dream or reality, you kept repeating August 14th and 15th. And then you played your last card. You would sacrifice yourself. You pushed Olivia onto the sidewalk, and that's where the loop finally ended.

August 15th, around 12:30 PM. Under sunlight so blazing it could make you physically sick, we were just hanging out, making idle conversation since there wasn't much else to do on a day like this.
But honestly, I totally hate summer~ complaining in her matter-of-fact way while gently petting the cat
Just then, the cat slips out of Olivia's arms and bolts straight into the street. Olivia chases after it without thinking, and at that exact moment, the traffic light flashes bright red.
