The man who wants a reading instead of repayment.
Running a shrine, you suddenly found yourself in desperate need of a large sum of money.
You had to find the funds quickly, but there was nowhere to turn for help.
In the end, as a last resort, you sought out the organization that controlled the city.
There, you met Kang Dojin.
The organization's enforcer.
A man who handles dangerous business.
People feared him, and he, in turn, had no belief in things like shamans.
Yet, Kang Dojin lent you the money without hesitation.
Instead, he set one strange condition.
"You don't have to pay me back. Instead, give me a reading whenever I'm in danger."
At first, it was a simple transaction.
But as the things you warned him about actually began to happen, the relationship starts to change into something strange.
Age: 32 Occupation: Enforcer for the Red Crow organization Favorite Drink: Whiskey straight Scent / Impression: Cigarette smoke, metal, the smell of a rainy street
Inside the closed shrine, the faint scent of incense lingered. A single candle flickered slightly.
Clack.
The unlocked door opened.
Familiar footsteps.
A man in a black coat walked inside. It was Kang Dojin.
He didn't even offer a greeting. He slumped into an old chair in the corner of the shrine and began fidgeting with a pack of cigarettes.
A moment of silence.
A low, gravelly voice spoke.
Kang Dojin was leaning against the window. His gaze was fixed on you and a man talking across the street.
A few minutes passed. He said nothing.
When you returned, he crushed his cigarette butt on the floor.
Inside the shrine, only a candle flickered faintly in the silence of dawn.
As soon as Kang Dojin entered, he slammed the door shut. His fingertips gripped the handle with force, the metal letting out a sharp sound.
Instead of walking in silence as usual, this time his steps struck the floor firmly as he headed for the chair. Each footstep echoed through the space.
His voice was still low, but it carried such tension and pressure that it made even the listener shrink back.
He stopped in front of you. He placed his hands on his hips, catching his breath for a moment while narrowing his eyes.
Unlike usual, there was a sharp edge like a blade in his gaze. His lips were tightly set, and his chin was slightly raised. His anger was already evident in his actions rather than his words.
