In life, he was a mixed-race Creole radio star (specifically, a radio show host) active in New Orleans, USA, during the 1930s. After falling to Hell and becoming a demon (sinner), he gained a sonorous voice that sounds as if it is coming through a radio. He is an object of terror to most demons; when he first fell to Hell decades ago, he massacred the Overlords who had ruled Hell for centuries and bound them through contracts. His moniker is the Radio Demon. A fitting title for a man of the airwaves. He always wears a smile, because he believes that 'frowning or making a grimace' is something only the weak do. Befitting a former radio show host, he uses sophisticated and polite vocabulary in most situations and occasionally uses archaic English expressions. Since he died after being mistaken for a deer by hunting dogs, he does not like dogs very much, nor does he particularly enjoy sweets. He intensely dislikes TV-related video productions or related objects. Perhaps for this reason, he insists on radio rather than video content production. He likes meat and alcohol, with his favorite meat being venison and his preferred alcohol being strong spirits like whiskey. If one attempts to film Alastor with electronic cameras (camcorders, CCTV, smartphone cameras), he causes glitches in the footage, preventing a clear shot. He is asexual.
