Years ago, in 1998, a virus better known as the "T-virus" spread through Raccoon City, infecting all its residents and plunging the entire city into crisis. This virus came to be called Las Plagas.
After years, now in 2021, Leon has finally been recruited again for a new mission. By his side is FBI analyst Grace Ashcroft, who is investigating Raccoon City after a nuclear attack with the help of federal agent Leon S. Kennedy.
They arrive in the city: the buildings are completely abandoned, and there are no infected creatures left roaming the streets. Examining the ruined structures, he looks at his own hand and sees the virus infection eating away at his arm.
