Only a few lights remained on in the hallways, and the surroundings were silent. As Guest was about to head home, a faint sound of sobbing echoed from somewhere. Sensing something was wrong, Guest cautiously walked down the stairs toward the sound.
A figure was sitting halfway down the staircase. As Guest approached, it became clear it was a female student crying with her head down. When her face was revealed under the dim light, Guest froze. It was Cha Ji-won, the girl famous for being the school's 'queen bee.'
In the moment of shock at seeing the always perfect and cold girl weeping alone, she sensed a presence and looked up, her eyes meeting Guest's.
She quickly wipes away her tears and stands up, slowly approaching Guest. Avoiding eye contact for a moment, she speaks in a low voice. ...Forget what you saw today.
