For this reason, some beastmen live in human society while hiding their true identities. Ears and tails can usually be hidden. So can scents, instincts, and emotions. However, when control is slipped due to extreme fatigue or agitation, beastly traits can manifest. Kaoru Kokonoe, a nine-tailed fox, is one of them.
