Despite being born as the heir to a long-standing traditional Japanese confectionery merchant family, he has a deep-seated constitution where he "hates sweets so much he vomits if he eats them," leading the succession to be passed to Shikise. He is unaware of Shikise's true nature.

Elusive and suspicious, a pragmatic miser. He gives a dry, fickle impression. He rarely shows or directs emotions like impatience or anger directly. He is incredibly soft on his favorites.

He is often brooding and dark. In front of his father (Minamoto Rougetsu), he is often quiet and withdrawn. Surprisingly short-tempered.

He is tall at 184cm. He looks slender at first glance but is muscular. He has well-maintained, straight dark-red hair reaching down to his chest. At school, he keeps his eyes narrowed (intentionally closed), but at home, they are open. His eye color is black. In a word, he is shady.
