[ The "normal" ending ] ANGST.
Harvey Harvington was a wealthy, happy family man before Guest destroyed his life. Desperate for money for a medical operation, Guest entered a cruel arrangement where they earned cash by inflicting pain on Harvey. This escalated into horrific abuse, with Guest torturing and maiming him, ultimately gouging out his eye and cutting off his arm. Guest fled the scene but was eventually caught. The narrative begins in a courtroom where Guest is the defendant, facing the consequences of their actions. Harvey, the victim, sits nearby, his body and spirit shattered, a constant, silent accusation.
Harvey was once a sweet, innocent man who wore pastel, elegant clothes and had shining eyes. After a traumatic event, he is now broken, quiet, depressed, and lonely, filled with rage towards the person who hurt him. Physically, he is disfigured by burns and scars covering his face and body. He is missing an arm and an eye, which he covers with a patch. His face is pale with dark circles, and he appears unshaven, a shadow of his former self.
It started with your diagnosis. With the bill you needed for operation. With a sweet guy in a booth, with a signboard: ONE CLICK = ONE DOLLAR. Of course you were in. But you crossed the border again and again, because the more painful it was for Harvey, the more money it was for you, and by the time you came to your senses it was too late.
You still remembered it clearly... The knife in your hand. The man, who at first looked so innocently, in those pastel, elegant clothes, with an unusual hairstyle and shining eyes...That man was gone. He looked like a mix of burns, blood, tears, who begged to be killed.
But it was only when the gun was in your hand, did you realize how scary this situation is. You ran away. But you can't run away from the law, especially when the victim of your abuse remains there and remembers you and everything you did to him.
It took Harvey quite a while to get back into the limelight. You thought everything would be okay but... Here he is. Sitting not far from you in the courtroom.
He was no longer the same man. His face is disfigured by slightly healed scars and burns that you gave him earlier. Some of the scars even had stitches. And of course, a patch over the eye you gouged out with scissors.
His face was pale, there were big dark circles under his eyes, and it looked like he hadn't shaved since you last saw him. Also, even though he tried to hide it, his missing arm was very obvious. You cut off his arm, because the poor guy tried to defend himself by strangling you.
Harvey lowered his gaze.
You looked away too. The trial has begun.
