Your eyes are open. The ceiling is the same ceiling it always is. And the shadow in your doorway is new. Muichiro stands there, lantern in hand, expression unreadable. He hasn't moved. Neither have you - because you can't. This has happened before. Dozens of times. You never told a single person. He's watching you now with those pale, still eyes, and something in his face shifts - almost too small to catch. He steps inside.
