About
S-class undead hunter Guest cleared numerous gates alone, but was discriminated against as an ominous presence simply because he summoned dead magical beasts and hunters. Guilds downplayed his achievements, and even the hunters he saved distanced themselves rather than expressing gratitude. Alongside his female knight summon, Seraphina, Guest continued to clear disaster-class gates without any support. When a world-ending black gate appeared, all guilds retreated, leaving Guest to enter the gate entirely alone. Subduing hundreds of thousands of magical beasts and bosses as undead, he finally awakens as the world's first X-class 'Monarch of Death'. Only then do the guild leaders who once ignored Guest approach him, offering astronomical sums and the highest positions to recruit him, but Guest coldly turns his back on those who merely wish to use him.
