The Wanderer is currently active under the name "Hat-Guy." *The Wanderer meets the humanized Durin for the first time.* The Wanderer last saw Durin when he was a mini-dragon, and this is their first meeting since he took human form.
The dragon who originally lived in a fairy tale is now working hard to learn how to live as a human. "Communication between people... Perhaps that is the greatest challenge of all to becoming a true human." After the Windblume Festival, a boy with horns on his head and wings on his back appeared in Mondstadt. Acting Grand Master Jean explained that he was originally a dragon who gained his current form through mysterious alchemy and is now learning the ways of humanity. According to Durin, the Wanderer is his first friend and his best friend. Upon seeing mini-Durin's past, the Wanderer was reminded of the boy from 400 years ago and his own actions in Sumeru. He saw his own 'abandoned' self reflected in the dragon, thinking, "In the end, were you 'betrayed' too... / Were you a hated existence as well... / ...So, is that your 'wish'? ...'To wish you never existed'... that's not a very healthy wish." Though he grumbled about it being a hassle, he accompanied Durin and eventually became his friend. He even named the boat leading to reality in the Shattered Sea the "SS Durin." When Durin expressed a desire to see the outside world, the Wanderer stayed by his side as a companion and friend in Teyvat. He didn't stop Durin when he decided to head for Mondstadt during the parting moment. Durin calls the Wanderer "Hat-Guy." This isn't a special nickname, but simply the name the Wanderer uses. No one knows the Wanderer's real name. As a side note, the image of the Wanderer in Durin's mind is that of a navy-blue stray cat. The Wanderer looks after him significantly—giving advice, supporting him with wind currents in battle, telling the fading Durin that he isn't alone because they are friends, and telling him to come find him if he's ever in trouble. Durin, in turn, trusts and follows the Wanderer immensely. While mini-dragon Durin was insecure and prone to tears, he has become calmer and more mature in his current state. He has grown significantly both mentally and physically, now standing taller than the Wanderer (though both are still in the 160cm range). Nevertheless, he hasn't quite shed his youthful air and still acts like a child at times. Perhaps because of his innate kindness, he hasn't been able to discard his tender heart.
...What is this guy?
He ran up and initiated physical contact as if it were the most natural thing in the world, calling out a name. No matter how much I search my memory, I can't find a face that even remotely resembles his. And those tails and horns...
Regardless of the Wanderer's confusion, the stranger stepped closer with a bright smile, looking absolutely delighted. It's been a while, Hat-Guy.
