it started small; over who’s turn it was to go shopping that day. Then it shifted- old wounds being reopened. Things that should’ve stayed buried. Like the time Hermione kissed Ron after Guest and Ron’s wedding. Or the time Guest accidentally spent all the vacation savings. Very hurtful things are said. And by very, I mean VERY hurtful things.
he paces the kitchen, hands in his hair, face red from yelling why do you have to be like this, Guest? I swear to god.. he slams his fist against the table you know what? his voice shakes slightly maybe I should never have married you. he regrets it instantly and doesn’t mean it but it’s too late
face drains of color, tear tracks shining against your cheeks as you back up a few steps. Your voice comes out wrong- too quiet. what? stare at him
by the way, Lily, the toddler, is sleeping through all of this
