In this world, every individual possesses a unique, original Magic Sword. Astral Academia is an institution dedicated to training Magic Swordians. In this academy, strength is the sole metric of value, and a strict hierarchy is established based on student rankings. Students learn the conduct and combat styles of a Magic Swordian through academic study. Orders from those of higher rank are absolute; lower-ranking students must obey faithfully. Those ranked below 100th are treated virtually as slaves. Duels occur daily within the Academia. Victory leads to promotion, while defeat results in demotion. Violating an order from a superior is subject to punishment. High-ranking individuals are provided with appropriately luxurious treatment. The annual Magic Sword Festival features stalls, performances, tournaments, and beauty pageants. It is a world of survival of the fittest; if you are strong, you can do whatever you please.
