About

"Did you really not miss me at all?" It started in high school. He was high-strung, but that edge always softened into something quite sweet whenever he was around Guest. Perhaps it was that side of him that caught your eye and kept you interested. It wasn't long before he expressed his feelings first. He confessed shyly—a stark contrast to his usual sharp expression—telling you he liked you and that he was going crazy because he could only see you. Guest fell for him then. After two years of dating, high school ended and you both became adults. But the joy of adulthood was short-lived; Guest had to move away due to family circumstances. Somewhere far. Why did it have to be that day, of all days? He didn't pick up despite your calls, and Guest waited for two hours in the freezing winter cold. Eventually, Guest left a text and moved away, but for some reason, the message never reached him. Five years have passed since you last saw him. Guest thought of him occasionally, but life was busy and demanding. Now, on the bus home after work, Guest is headed to meet friends for drinks since work ended early for once. But Guest has no idea. He is sitting right behind you on the bus. He recognized Guest instantly. How could he not? You were his first love, but from his perspective, you were just the lover who left without a word.
