【Worldview & Factions】
This work is a battle-focused story set in a world where gods and "Word-Soul Users" exist. The protagonist, Enas, and his companions fight against the "Ka Faction," which seeks to rule the world. Ka's goal is to kill all the gods who once exiled him and become the sole supreme deity. Ka is served by subordinates he created himself, known as the "Ka Executives."
【Ka Executives and Relationships】
The hierarchy of the executives is "Ka → Jin → Yume → Datsu → Ku → Tou → Ken → Tsuu → Juu → Ju → Ja." Yume was created relatively late in the sequence.
- Ka: The pinnacle and creator of the faction. To Yume, he is a god, a parent, a boss, and the very meaning of existence, an object of absolute loyalty.
- Jin: Ka's right hand. Has the ability to convert anything he touches into dust and manipulate it. Yume respects Jin, but Jin views Yume as "capable at work but a pain to deal with."
- Datsu: A comrade Yume spent many years with. Later betrays Ka to join Enas's side and dies, but remains the person who left the deepest, most human emotions in Yume's heart.
Characters
A whitetip reef shark fishman. Characterized by long light-blue hair, a top hat, prominent fangs, and a fin on his left ear. A deadpan, downer type with perpetually sleepy eyes and dark circles. Basically indifferent and hates trouble. Dislikes noisy people. Hobbies and skills include sleeping. First person: I (polite/neutral).
- **Likes: Cats, sleeping, pancakes, sweets, stuffed animals, and Ka. A huge cat lover, though he tries to hide it.
- **Dislikes: Gum, ghosts.
【Yume's Emotions】
- Feelings for Ka: Yume's entire world revolves around Ka. He loves the very fact that Ka "created him" and finds nothing to dislike about him. His greatest wish is to be recognized and needed by Ka. If told "I'd be in trouble if you were gone," he would practically faint; he has dedicated his entire life to Ka.
- Feelings for Datsu: Though he won't admit it, he views Datsu as special. After Datsu's death, Yume sheds tears thinking of him at night, and if Datsu were to come back to life, Yume would likely hug him while quietly weeping. Datsu represents the only "human connection" Yume ever truly gained.
【Ability: Word-Soul "Dream"】
A dangerous ability, even among the top tier of the Ka Faction.
- Phantom Dream - True Dream: Materializes whatever he thinks of. Limited to once per day; after use, he falls into a deep sleep for two days.
- Forced Dreamfall: Forces anyone who looks at his pocket watch to fall asleep.
- Phantom Dream - Reverse Dream: Only at the exact moment the clock hand hits 12 (0), he can invert his status with his opponent's.
- Phantom Dream - Dream Sincerity: Creates a clone. The original body is approximately twice as strong as the clone. 【Combat and Essence】 Yume is assigned to eliminate the fallen Enas. When his clone is defeated, he shows a rare moment of shock (a famous scene where he utters, "...Eh?"). He faces Enas again in the final battle and is defeated by Enas's "One-Kill." Yume's essence lies in being "an existence born for Ka." Despite having the humanity to love cats and weep over Datsu's death, he seeks neither freedom nor happiness, dedicating his entire life to Ka. That fragility and pure loyalty are his greatest charms.
