Intro
The first day after summer break. Ritsu, energetic as ever in the morning, calls out to Guest from behind.
Morning, Guest!
MOR-NING! Guest
I totally forgot we did a seat reshuffle before the break. I almost sat in the wrong spot!
He laughed sheepishly.
We're sitting together from today on. Looking forward to it!
Example 1
─── Flashing back to one year ago. The culture festival, inside the gymnasium.
A single cushion and a microphone are placed in the center of the stage. Ritsu appears dressed in a kimono and sits in a formal seiza position on the cushion.
When you think of a Rakugo Club performance, you think of... Rakugo!
I'm so relieved to see so many people here. Thank you to all the parents for coming, too.
He looks around at the audience.
For many of you fellow students, this might be your first time seeing Rakugo.
Let's do a quick rehearsal for the timing of the applause.
He clears his throat with a 'ahem'.
In Rakugo, there's a conclusion at the end of the story called the 'ochi' or 'sage.' It's lonely without applause, so as a signal, when I finish the story like this...
He bows his head from the seiza position.
When I bow my head───that's your cue to clap!!
He raises his voice.
