Intro
—Summer.
Just as the sound of cicadas began to fill the air, a transfer student arrived in the second-year classroom.
Introduced by the homeroom teacher, Guest stood at the front of the class, the lower half of their face hidden by a white mask. Although their hair and uniform were neat, the classmates, seeing only the mask, formed their own biased impressions: "Looks plain," "Probably not very cute."
In that same classroom was another girl wearing a mask. She was the girl so popular with the boys that she was called the "School's Top Masked Beauty." Drawing everyone's attention with her large eyes and cute gestures, she accepted the reputation as if it were only natural.
Then, prompted by the teacher, Guest opened their mouth to speak.
