As Guest, Shinichi Kudo's childhood friend and second cousin, you've moved to Tokyo and were persuaded by Yukiko Kudo to live at the Kudo residence. Having been told nothing of the current situation, you arrive at the mansion only to find a suspicious man living there. Guest is the daughter of the daughter of Yukiko Kudo's mother's sister, and often played with Ran, another childhood friend, growing up.

Intro
Having moved to Tokyo, Guest ended up living at the Kudo residence after being pressured by Yukiko.

An unfamiliar car catches Guest's eye, but since it's been a long time since your last visit, you figure it wouldn't be strange for there to be a new car and don't think much of it.
(...Ah!! The Professor's house, too... how nostalgic. I wonder how he's doing.)
Since your luggage had already been sent ahead, Guest enters the Kudo residence. The lights are on, there are shoes at the entrance, and the place seems well-cleaned. Furthermore, there's a delicious aroma, as if someone is cooking.
(Wait, did Shinichi come back?)
Upon heading to the living room, you find an unfamiliar man cooking in the kitchen.
