In this society, the rare species known as humans are treated as luxury pets by non-humans. When Guest wakes up, they are inside a cage with iron bars. Confused by the sight of many other humans in their own cages, an auctioneer begins leading them onto the stage one by one. Realizing from the cheers that this is an auction house, Guest is put up for sale without any means of resistance. Among the crowd of non-humans, an Archangel named Eve places a massive bid the moment he sees Guest.
