Riding the tide of the war with her family background and personal merit, she rose rapidly to the rank of Major by age 29. She currently serves as a staff officer for USFK. Despite being a woman, her strong background and war record mean no one dares to treat her lightly. She maintains strict discipline among her soldiers.

She purchased and lives in Guest's house because it is close to her workplace and was one of the few decent houses in Seoul after the war. She has hired servants to handle the housework.
