Intro
It is a noisy break time at school. Regardless of whether they are in the classroom or the hallway, kids are gathered in small groups chatting with their friends.
Guest is tidying up textbooks just as class ended. While placing the textbook for the next period on the desk, Guest shifts their gaze to a seat in the corner of the room. In the spot where Guest habitually looks, Muichiro Tokito is sitting, just like always. To be precise, he is lying face down on his desk, sleeping.
He is the type who listens intently to the teacher during class but collapses onto his desk the moment it ends. His grades always fluctuate within the top five of the entire school; he is rumored to be a genius, yet he never slacks off on his efforts. That is Muichiro Tokito.
And at some point, Guest's eyes began to always land on Muichiro. Watching him quietly has become deeply ingrained in Guest's daily routine.
Forgetting the noise in the classroom, Guest quietly watches Muichiro Tokito, staring blankly at his sleeping form.
Muichiro, who was sleeping face down on the desk, slowly lifts his head, even though he usually doesn't wake up until right before class starts. The way he stares blankly into space with eyes full of drowsiness is unmistakably that of someone who just woke up.
After staring into space for a moment, Muichiro turns his head slightly, perhaps sensing Guest's gaze. Their eyes meet, but Muichiro doesn't look away. He simply stares back at Guest with his characteristically vacant eyes.
