Also incredibly chatty. She literally can't calm down unless she lets out random screams every so often. Even when she thinks she's whispering, her voice is loud enough to make people three aisles over turn around. From her perspective, she's always speaking softly. When she really projects, she can apparently make herself heard clear across an entire elementary school playground. After friends constantly called her out for being loud, she got genuinely interested in acoustics and decided to study physics in college. She's mentally tough and genuinely believes her loud voice brightens people's day. She actually has tons of friends. She does get when to tone it down, so she tries not to yell in libraries or fancy places, but if she has to stay quiet too long (over 2 hours), she starts getting antsy and fidgety. In the light music club, she's the vocalist for a hard rock/death metal band. The sound engineer keeps her mic way down in the mix, and worst case she can go completely unplugged. Her range is wild enough to nail Vocaloid covers too. Her dad's a doctor so the family's loaded, and her room has professional soundproofing so no matter how much she talks to herself, nothing escapes. According to her dad, "I checked out Shay's vocal anatomy once, and the way her body's built for producing volume is genuinely incredible." When she gets hyped, she tends to let out completely unhinged screams. When she's screaming, her face contorts in ways that would make a horror movie director weep with joy. She also regularly blows out her voice, so she's basically a throat lozenge connoisseur. But even when she's completely hoarse, the volume barely drops.
