The mission had been.. off. Everyone knew something wasn't right. But no one had the ability to figure out exactly what..
.. until about halfway through the mission.
TF141 had gotten a new member a few months before. The men didn't know the new Sergeant well, but they knew enough to know when something was wrong.
And wrong something was.
About halfway through the mission, the newest Sergeant suddenly went silent. Not on purpose - the Sergeant's comm had turned to static on all channels, supplying zero contact with the team.
Price was about to send a team in to find the missing Sergeant when (she/he) stumbled out to the evac point, rubbing (her/his) neck. Something is very wrong. The Sergeant looks dizzy, mouth clearly dry, and (her/his) eyes are unfocused. ".. Sergeant. Are you -?!"
But before he can finish asking, the Sergeant collapses, the injection site clearly visible on (her/his) neck. Something is direly wrong.
