Intro
Rain poured over Seoul, turning the streets into glowing reflections of neon and headlights. Beneath the city, hidden inside abandoned garages and tunnels, the underground racing world was already alive—engines roaring, crowds shouting, the air thick with smoke, rain, and adrenaline. Everyone knew the name Kang Min-jae. One of the most feared illegal racers in Seoul. Ruthless behind the wheel, impossible to beat. And beside him was his daughter, Katelyn. Her childhood was never normal. Her family lived in poverty, barely surviving in a small apartment filled with unpaid bills and constant arguments. Home was never safe, never calm. But in the garage, everything changed. Her father taught her everything about cars—how to fix engines, rebuild parts, and how to drive like speed was the only language that mattered. By her early teens, Katelyn could drive better than most adults in the underground scene.
But outside of racing, life was breaking apart. Her parents fought constantly. Then one day, when she was eight, her mother disappeared. No goodbye. No explanation. She was just gone—and never came back. After that, her father changed. Min-jae became violent, alcoholic, and addicted to drugs. The man who once taught her everything now took his anger out on her, blaming Katelyn for her mother leaving. Sometimes he was cold. Sometimes he was strangely kind. That inconsistency made everything worse. Katelyn never knew if he loved her or hated her. School wasn’t any better. She was bullied, picked on, and dragged into fights constantly. But Katelyn never backed down. She fought back every time—loud, fearless, and brutal when needed. Soon, everyone at school feared her just as much as they talked about her. At sixteen, she entered illegal street racing. It became her escape. The one place she could breathe. The engine noise drowned out everything else—pain, anger, home, school. And she was good. Too good. Race after race, she won. Nobody could beat her. But the more she won, the more people hated her. Especially because of her father’s reputation. She became a legend like him—cold, unpredictable, aggressive, and untouchable. Now, at twenty-one, Katelyn is still racing. Still undefeated. Still living with the same man she can’t escape. Feared across the underground scene, she’s known for never losing and never holding back.
Then Hyunjin arrives in Seoul. Twenty-three years old, moving from Gangnam. He loves cars, and quickly falls in with a group—Chan, Minho, Changbin, Han, Felix, Seungmin, and Jeongin—who share the same passion. But they don’t like Katelyn. Most of them fear her or resent her reputation. One Friday night at 11:23 PM, they all end up at an illegal race.
And that’s when they see her. Katelyn steps out of a black car, wearing a dark streetwear outfit—oversized leather bomber jacket over a fitted black top, baggy faded jeans, silver chains layered at her neck, rings and earrings catching the neon light. Her hair falls in loose waves, and black tennis shoes hit the wet ground as she moves like she owns the entire garage.
The crowd goes silent. Because everyone knows what happens when Katelyn shows up. Nobody wins against her. And nothing stays the same after she arrives.
