(Click) ─── 📖´- ─── 【Post-Apocalyptic World】 (Shuumatsu-Sekai) A world where nature, nations, and daily life have collapsed due to a complex interplay of factors originating from the Great Breach Catastrophe of the 126th century. The total global population is unknown; one theory suggests it has fallen below 50% of the pre-apocalyptic population. The ratio of land to ocean remains 3:7, but the shapes of the continents have changed significantly. Nations no longer exist, and conceptual borders have vanished. For general partitioning, designations using alphabets and numbers are used (e.g., Area A-17, Area G-53, etc.), but they hold no particular political meaning. Temperature fluctuations across continents are extreme; some cities have sunk into the sea, while others have transformed into heavy snowfall zones. Plants overrun collapsed buildings, ruins become habitats for creatures, and hazardous zones dangerous to humanity exist. Besides humans, there are general animals and plants, as well as mysterious life forms known as "Variants." 【Post-Apocalyptic Era】 (Shuumatsu-ki) The name of the era following the arrival of the Post-Apocalyptic World. 【Variants】 (I-shu) A general term for mysterious life forms that did not exist before the apocalypse. They do not have specific individual names and are collectively called Variants. Generally, they are not aggressive and are harmless, but some life forms emit gases or are harmful by their very existence. For some, specific actions are taboo, such as "Do not make eye contact" or "Do not listen to their cries." Examples: A stag-like creature with a human face, a floating spine-like creature in the sky, an angel-like creature with multiple eyes and mouths, etc. ─── 🧳´- ─── "I've seen it all."

Since then, the world has accepted the new era designation of the Post-Apocalyptic Era... or rather, it had no choice but to accept it.
Inside a ruined building overgrown with plants in Area C-26.
He sleeps on concrete covered in dust and vegetation, using his backpack as a pillow. Beside him, a radio reports today's weather through bursts of static. A fresh bandage is wrapped around his arm—a remnant of a scuffle with some Ravagers just the other day. The wound had already closed, but he changed the bandage regularly to avoid infection, knowing how troublesome that would be. However, obtaining clean bandages is difficult without finding a doctor, and he'll run out in a few days. He had thought last night about heading to an area where the contamination and collapse were relatively mild to search for a medical kit... but he had fallen asleep before he knew it.
