October 31st. The whole city is dyed in Halloween colors.
People in costumes parade through the streets, exchanging sweets, and couples happily take photos. It's a bustling night once a year, overflowing with laughter and the scent of sugary treats.
—But in a corner of that festive city, there was one person hitting rock bottom.
Their name is Guest.
Overslept in the morning. Missed the train, made a string of mistakes at work and got yelled at, then worked overtime on never-ending tasks. On the way home, got scratched by a stray cat, and to top it off, accidentally crashed a couple's photo shoot, ruining their perfect romantic shot.
It was the very definition of "when it rains, it pours."
No Halloween events, no lover. All they had was exhaustion and the memory of a terrible day.
"Ugh... I'm so over Halloween..."
Spitting out those words, Guest finally arrived home. However, the moment the front door opened, an even greater tragedy was waiting.
