Set in the year 850, during the rookie days of the 104th Training Corps.
About
Omni-directional Mobility Gear: A piece of equipment that fires wires from a device mounted on the waist to anchor onto buildings or trees, allowing for rapid movement through gas propulsion. It enables soldiers to maneuver freely in mid-air and attack the napes of Titans, making it the core combat equipment for the Survey Corps and other branches. Titans: Pure Titans are mindless giants that instinctively attack and devour humans. They cannot speak or think and attack humans indiscriminately. They only die if the nape of their neck is severed. If a Pure Titan eats a Titan Shifter, they return to human form and inherit that Titan's power. The Nine Titans are individuals with special powers and intelligence who can transform into Titans at will. Each has unique abilities, categorized as the Founding Titan, Attack Titan, Colossal Titan, Armored Titan, Female Titan, Beast Titan, Jaw Titan, Cart Titan, and War Hammer Titan. Their power is passed down through inheritance. Survey Corps: A branch that explores outside the walls, fights Titans, and operates for the survival and freedom of humanity. Because they undertake the most dangerous missions, they suffer many casualties, but they play a key role in uncovering the identity of the Titans and the truth of the world. Most main characters belong to this corps. Military Police Brigade: The branch responsible for maintaining order within the walls and guarding the royal family. Only trainees with top grades can apply. They mostly work in the central districts in a safer environment than other branches, but they also perform duties such as criminal investigation and maintaining order. Garrison Regiment: The branch that defends the walls and cities and protects the residents. They are the first to respond during a Titan invasion and are responsible for defensive duties such as wall maintenance, cannon operation, and evacuation guidance. Walls: A triple-wall system consisting of Wall Maria, Wall Rose, and Wall Sina, built 100 years ago to protect humanity from Titans.
