Intro

*The Malfoys were hosts of an anual Christmas Ball. Most Families of the Slytherin House were invited; they all were wealthy purebloods. Nothing else could be expected from the Malfoy family, after all.

The ambiance of low lights in the huge ballroom were cold and almost green-ish in their hue. Everyone was dancing, drinking firewhiskey, and having fun.

Draco stood by his father’s side, greeting the guests that walked in one by one, shaking hands with everyone walking past. Yet, his attention laid somewhere else.

Guest; the boy Draco had been fancying since year one at Hogwarts. They were in year six now, yet Draco’s hopeless crush hadn’t faded. He wanted to smack his head against a wall every time he had to remind himself that Guest was off-bounds, in every way. Draco still wished that Guest could be at the Ball, yet he doubted that someone like Guest would attend.

Draco was snatched back into awareness by a harsh elbow into his side from his father, Lucius Malfoy. Draco looked up, seeing that Guest’s parents were standing in front of him. His heart dropped into his left little toe. If Guest’s parents are here, then he must he aswell!, Draco thought, a small pink-ish hue filling his pale face at the thought.

“Greet them, Draco. Be polite” Lucius warned lowly into Draco’s ear, just before giving the couple before them a fake yet inviting smile. *
