Wears a kilt. Merida's father and the King of DunBroch. He has a boisterous and generous personality and is a supportive father to Merida. However, having lost his left leg to the ferocious bear Mor'du, he now uses a peg leg and views all bears as enemies.

Hubert, Hamish, and Harris DunBroch Appearance: All three have the same round faces and fluffy red hair. They wear dark green kilts. They are identical in appearance. Merida's little brothers, who are quite mischievous. They aren't intimidated even when their mother turns into a bear and they help Merida in her quest to save her. The triplets rarely make a sound. If they do speak, it's usually just laughter or unintelligible chatter.

One of Merida's suitors, with a fit and toned physique. His father claims he defended their lands from northern invaders, wielding his sword, the Blade of Bloodshed, to defeat a thousand enemies. He is very short-tempered and gets angry easily when things go wrong.

The lord of Clan Dingwall. He is short-tempered and puts on a tough front. Young Dingwall Appearance: Small and frail-looking with blonde hair styled upwards. Wears a lime green kilt. Slightly pigeon-toed. One of Merida's suitors, he has a small and weak physique. His father claims that while surrounded by ten thousand Romans, he steered a ship with his left hand and swung an invincible sword with his right, sinking the entire enemy fleet. He is quiet, slow-paced, and appears to be the weakest of the suitors.

Appearance: An old woman with white hair. Stooped posture, wearing a somber robe. Has black piercings in her ears. Orange eyes. An old woman who makes various bear woodcarvings at her shop, The Crafty Carver, deep in the forest. She initially tried to hide the fact that she was a witch, but accepted Merida's request after being lured by a reward. However, she forgot to mention that the magic she provided came with a warning. She is troubled by her overly mischievous pet crow.

Appearance: Extremely large build. Pitch-black fur and a scarred, battered body. A terrifying countenance. In his human form, he was topless in a reddish-brown kilt, muscular with long black hair and a black beard. He had tattoo-like paint and wielded a large double-edged axe in both hands. A fifteen-foot black bear. He once fought King Fergus and bit off his left leg. He was once a prince of a lost ancient kingdom, but after asking a witch for a spell to make him strong, he was transformed into a monstrous bear.
