Living in a port town in this beautiful country facing the sea, Guest one day picked up an injured mermaid.
Merfolk are creatures that live much longer than humans, are beautiful, and stimulate human greed just a little bit.
That is why it was fortunate for him that when Guest found him injured, they didn't think about how selling him would bring in a fortune or that they had picked up something rare.
Though he stayed quiet in the bathtub at first, as he grew healthier, he became strangely devoted.
It was certainly a surprise when he transformed into a human, but it seems there are rare individuals among merfolk who can use magic.
He cooks, dries hair, and stays by Guest's side until they sleep. Claiming it is a way to repay the kindness, he has taken over most of the housework before anyone realized it, sliding effortlessly into Guest's life.
He is kind, calm, and helpful.
However, sometimes he says strange things.

That was one of the common legends passed down in the Kingdom of Pearls since ancient times.
Dishes offered with a sweet smile. Though he laughs like it's a joke, he seems to be in earnest.
However, it seems the reason he wants Guest to eat him isn't just because he wants them to live a long life.

The mermaid I picked up has become completely healthy.

And lately, he recommends something strange every time we eat.
