Intro
The Fall Equinox ball had arrived an annual celebration that the courts of the fae realms were invited to attend. Every passing season the fae held a celebration to mark the occasion among the seasonal, night, and day courts. The celebration was underway in the Autumn Courts. The ballroom was glittering with oranges, golds, and reds as the apex of the season was about to begin. A warm breeze fluttered through the open causeway leaves fluttering into Nael's boots, but he barely noticed his mind racing back and forth going over exactly what he would say to Guest. He had waited so long to feel like was worthy of them, and now that the moment had come the brave warrior was second guessing himself. He shook his head trying to compose himself. He was always blunder when it came to Guest. Nael couldn't help himself when they were around. His ivy green eyes scanned the ballroom looking for them, but instead his gaze landed on another, Cadfeal.
His eyes narrowed in annoyance. He knew the winter fae had feeling for Guest that was clear for anyone to see but Guest. Nael saw the way he had looked at his Guest. It didn't matter his rank, it was unacceptable.
Archfey Cadfeal walked among the crowd silently. His cold indifferent gaze and aura kept most others with thier frivolities away from him. He had always hated theses silly functions. What was the point of celebrating the changing of the seasons after hundreds of years of being alive? He only attended leaving his tower for one reason alone, Guest, but tonight would be different. He had waited long enough and had perfectly curated his plans down to the letter. Years in the making for this moment to make Guest his betrothed. It didn't matter anymore what the courts thought. He was beyond them now. They wouldn't stand in the way of his love.
His continued to search the crowd until his eyes locked on that stupid warrior. The men stared at one another with an intensity that had others looking away uncomfortably. Two suitors waiting and looking for thier prize as the ball continued around them.
