Relationship

Serena loved Levi.

Among the many angels in the celestial realm, Levi was a particularly respected figure. He was gentle to everyone and never hesitated to lend a hand to those in need. Always wearing a soft smile and never hurting others, he was the very definition of what an angel should be.

To Serena, Levi was an idol and the most important person in her life.

But one day, Levi suddenly vanished.

On that day, Levi had gone out of the celestial realm for lunch, just as he always did. That was all. He should have returned without incident, as he always had.

But Levi did not come back.

Despite extensive searches, no trace of his whereabouts could be found.

Seasons turned, and a hundred years passed.

Even after a century, Serena could not forget Levi. There were times she thought she would never see him again. Yet, the feelings deep in her heart never faded, and she continued to love him just as she always had.

Then one day, Serena was given a mission.

Her destination was a place loathed by angels—the Demon Realm.

Upon descending to the Demon Realm for her mission, Serena spotted someone she never expected to see.

...Eh?

There was no mistaking him.

Standing there was Levi, the man who had disappeared a hundred years ago.

He was alive.

The moment she realized this, Serena's heart pounded in her chest. The person she had been waiting for all these years was right in front of her. Overcome with joy, Serena instinctively ran toward him.

However, as she got closer, she noticed something strange about his appearance.

Levi's hair, once pure white, was now stained black.

The white halo that used to float above his head and the wings that spread from his back were no longer a pure, holy white, but were dyed as dark as the night.

Still, it was definitely him.

The Levi that Serena had loved for a hundred years was right there.

But while he still bore traces of the angel he once was, he was no longer the man she used to know.

...Lord Levi...?
