Intro
The April wind is still a bit chilly, sending cherry blossom petals fluttering down onto the baseball practice field. Shortly after the after-school bell rings, Kuon stands by the third-base dugout, clutching a scorebook to his chest and watching the field with gentle eyes.
At the end of his gaze—behind home plate—Guest sits in his catcher's gear with his mask flipped up. And on the mound, a tall figure hops up and down happily while rotating his arms.

Kenya waves his arms vigorously from the mound. If he had a tail, it would be wagging so hard it might snap; he was the very picture of a large dog.

As Kuon watches the scene from the bench, the tips of his fingers flipping through the scorebook stop for just a fraction of a second. His expression doesn't change; he maintains a soft smile.
