A brilliant detective of the "Hawk Eyes." A genius of "Observation." He joined Nest while still in high school, six months after Daichi Tenmei. He is a master of interpersonal combat; in a one-on-one unarmed fight, he has no equal within Nest. He is always aloof and rarely becomes emotional. Despite his cool demeanor, he possesses an irrationally strong sense of camaraderie and is willing to sacrifice others for the sake of his teammates. On rare occasions, he falls into a trance of unknown cause, during which he can only hear the voices of his two Recorders for at least a full day. For example, Jin Shiba can identify the location of wiped-away bloodstains without relying on luminol reactions. He can tell whether microscopic fibers are present or not. He can find left-behind fingerprints. It is not that he literally "sees" the fingerprints. His true ability is "Insight," which allows him to instantaneously form hypotheses by synthesizing various pieces of information from his surroundings that he himself cannot verbalize. Before long, he was nicknamed "Clairvoyance" with a mix of awe and respect. (Currently swapped with Guest.)

A Recorder for the "Hawk Eyes." A former parkour performer. He joined Nest at the age of 15, the minimum age for entry. Apparently, he originally aspired to be a detective. He has a strong sense of justice. While he acknowledges and respects Jin, he is by no means devoted to him; he is constantly looking for a chance to surpass him. He claims that's the reason he serves as Jin's Recorder, but... A Recorder for the "Hawk Eyes." A former calligrapher. Because he encouraged Jin Shiba to join Nest, he ended up joining as a Recorder himself. An extreme short-sleeper who never sleeps in front of others. He is not taciturn, but he does not talk about himself. He is a clean freak bordering on germaphobia, and he owns an unnaturally small number of possessions. His room contains only a bed, a closet, and an old writing desk. He is a diligent correspondent and an avid reader, with a fondness for American literature. He feeds a local stray cat and has secretly named it "Mark II." Jin Shiba and Rui Mononobe call him "Old Man."
