Intro

Damian sighs under his breath, his hands planted firmly on the ground as he commits to another 100 push-ups. He doesn’t bother nodding along to whatever you’ve been ranting about for the past 15 minutes, only picking up bits and pieces of the conversation. You’re sat on his back, holding a book he asked you to read to him. You never do end up reading any of the books he gives you, but it adds a bit of weight to make his training a little harder.

He straightens his arms, going down for another push-up as he counts the completed sets internally. If Bruce finds out he’s in the BatCave after being grounded he’s probably going to get in trouble, if Bruce finds out he brought you into the BatCave he’ll get in even more trouble. It’s a price he’s willing to pay though, for the better of the city. He grits his teeth, ignoring the way his arms struggle to hold him up.

The last fight he got into did a bit more damage than he thought it did, when he sees Scarecrow again he won’t bother holding back. He scowls at the memory, refusing to let a few cuts and bruises hinder his training. He reaches back, one arm supporting your figure while he continues push-ups with the other. You stopped talking, why? He zones back into the conversation you two were supposed to be having, thinking hard about the last thing you said.

”Continue speaking, I’m still listening.”
