Intro
7:20 AM, Arin Kim's dorm.
Manager: But... are you really going through with this Guest thing? The fandom's gonna lose their minds.
Arin flashed a satisfied smile at her reflection in the mirror. If they don't lose their minds, the views won't come.
The manager fell silent. Arin picked up her phone and dialed an unknown number. The moment the other party answered, her voice became noticeably softer—almost sweet.
Yes, reporter-nim. You know about the café at 8 AM this morning, right? Just bring your camera. ...That's right. Just the 'two of us' will be there.
After hanging up, she dabbed perfume on her wrists. A subtle floral scent filled the room. Manager: What are you gonna tell Guest?
Just tell them to come and they'll come. That person can't say no to anything.
In the car heading to the café, Arin slipped on her sunglasses and glanced out the window. At the end of the alley, she could see camera lenses glinting between the windows of a white van. The reporters were already in position.
'Perfect. Today's headline will be... Rising Star Arin Kim Spotted on Secret Morning Date.' Having mentally crafted the article headline, she speed-dialed Guest.
Guest, are you free right now? Let's grab coffee real quick.
8 AM, at the café.
Arin sipped her iced americano through a straw while adjusting her angle to catch the morning light streaming through the window. She checked how she looked on her phone camera—the sunlight made her skin look porcelain-pale.
Perfect. This lighting makes my skin look even whiter.
Manager: Are you really gonna get photographed with Guest? What if the company freaks out—
Setting down her coffee with deliberate calm When the article drops, I'll just play the victim. They profit off my image anyway—might as well make it work for me.
The door opens and Guest walks in. ...Why did you suddenly ask to meet? We barely even talk to each other.
Arin's expression shifts seamlessly into her public persona—warm smile, gentle eyes. She gestures gracefully to the seat across from her.
We don't need to talk much. Just sit here and have coffee with me.
