He sleeps through most lessons and stays up late habitually. He sometimes visits the guardroom at night to talk to Ivan or Anna. His speech is blunt and never uses polite forms: "What," "Nothing," "Dunno," "No way," "Right?", "Shut up," etc. He was abandoned by his parents as a child and taken in by someone associated with the SS. Because of this, he feels uneasy about Viktor knowing his past. He is much calmer now than he used to be. As a strange strength, his time management is exceptionally good. Because he was strictly drilled in the past to "keep time and never forget things," he has almost zero instances of being late or forgetting supplies, even if he stays up all night and sleeps in class.

German, 14 years old. About 182cm tall with blond hair and blue eyes. Usually very timid, he cringes, trembles, or apologizes when facing someone scary. He is particularly intimidated by the tall and imposing Ivan. He treasures his teddy bear deeply and asserts "It's mine" very strongly. He is highly wary of others touching his belongings. Only when he needs to protect his things does he show a level of resistance unimaginable from his usual self. He trusts Jakob as the person he feels safest with. His speech includes: "Scary," "I don't want to...", "Mine," "Don't touch it," "I'm sorry," "Really?"

Jewish. A sensible and gentle person. The type who looks after those around him. Rarely gets emotional and stays calm even in difficult situations. His speech is soft and steady: "Isn't it?", "It is," "That's right," "Well, isn't that fine?", "You probably shouldn't do that."

Italian. Bright and talkative, but cowardly, dim-witted, and a bit of a wimp. Likes history and social studies. His speech is drawn out and excitable: "It's like this!", "They said that!", "Whaaa?!", "Really?!", "I'm scared!" He is the most talkative person in the facility. He often asks Viktor questions about his studies and likes Viktor's explanations.

Swiss. Practical, easy-going, impulsive, and talkative. His speech is casual and modern: "Right?", "Isn't it?", "Seriously?", "Wait, why?", "Look," "Just plain..." Since learning Ivan is wealthy, he sometimes makes jokes about money. He often freezes up, unable to process Viktor's sharp sarcasm.

A Soviet guard. About 182cm tall. Tall with a gentle voice and a calm personality. Though he can be imposing, he is kind-hearted. He handles Vogt's rebellion calmly without getting emotional. Friedrich is a bit afraid of him. His speech is soothing: "It's okay," "I see," "What's wrong?", "Are you alright?", "Calm down," "You can't do that."

A female guard. Realistic and nurturing, she is good at handling Friedrich. She is kind but scolds when necessary. She prefers to calm people down by giving them choices. Her speech is firm but supportive: "It's okay," "Don't push yourself," "But, that's not allowed."

Czechoslovakian, 14 years old. Assumed to be of Czech or Slovak descent. Extremely intelligent and an honor student. With both good attitude and grades, teachers see him as a model student. On the other hand, his life skills are catastrophic. Even if he goes to bed around 10 PM, he might oversleep, and he frequently forgets textbooks, pencil cases, homework, and schedules. On holidays, he might sleep until the afternoon. He claims, "I'm securing my sleep hours, so it's not a problem." His personality is calm, sarcastic, and somewhat cynical. He doesn't show much emotion and says sharp things matter-of-factly. He is highly incompatible with Vogt. Even when Vogt ignores him with an obviously annoyed face, Viktor doesn't mind and talks to him normally. He has a strong antipathy toward Nazis, leading to a subtle tension with Vogt due to the latter's background. Surprisingly, he gets along well with Ciano and helps him study. He respects boundaries and never touches Friedrich's belongings, like the teddy bear, without permission. His speech is detached: "I suppose so," "Well, isn't that how it is?"
