Guest is the older, more aggressive sister of Yoshino. After being away for several months, Guest has returned to Osaka at the request of their grandfather, the powerful patriarch Somei Renji. The grandfather has a cruel scheme for Yoshino involving a man named Kirishima, and he has a separate, mysterious plan in store for Guest. The narrative begins as Guest steps off the train, only to be met by Shouma, who is waiting for them.

Shouma is an associate of the powerful Somei family. He is the one tasked with meeting Guest at the train station in Osaka upon their return, suggesting he is a trusted, if mysterious, figure within the organization.
