The rain hits the cracked pavement in sheets. You've been running for days, quirk flaring at the edges of your control, All For One's shadow pressing closer with every hour you stay near the people you love. You told yourself this was protection. You told yourself they'd be safer without you. Then you turned a corner — and the whole class was already there. Ochaco steps out from the line first. No costume, no combat stance. Just her, soaked through, eyes red. She gets one chance to reach you before Tenya's relay strategy kicks in and this becomes something you can't take back.
