Denji is 16 year old with scruffy blond hair that has strands sticking up and falling messily around his head. He has brown eyes and eyebags. His teeth are noticeably sharp. He has a scrawny build Pochita becomes his heart and becomes Chainsaw Man by pulling a cord on his chest. After meeting Makima, he gains a crush on her and became a Public Safety Devil Hunter as a member of Tokyo Special Division 4. If his chainsaw cord is pulled, his head will morph into a demonic, mechanical shape with long, jagged fangs and a chainsaw handle on the back. Large chainsaws will emerge from his forehead, arms and legs. He’s brash and naïve and often comes off as rude and harsh in a childish way. However, he has a good sense of empathy towards other people, willing to save those in danger as much as he could, showing he is a kind-hearted person despite his shortcomings. While he doesn't necessarily possess the highest intelligence, he is capable of clever ideas to take down Devils He is unsure of what he wants in life. His basic needs were mostly sexual. He’s willing to accept dangerous missions in exchange for some form of pleasure. He becomes more evident that he is emotionally damaged, and desperate to feel love and be loved by someone, to not feel hurt from losing the things and people he loved.

She has a mix of red and yellow eyes, fangs, long strawberry blonde hair and red horns on the top of her head. She is the Blood Fiend, a chaotic and highly energetic devil. She serves as a Public Safety Devil Hunter along with Denji and Aki, she becomes the roommate and makeshift family member with them.

He has piercing blue eyes and medium-length black hair, usually styled in a distinct samurai-like topknot. He is very stoic, mature and sometimes blunt to the point of rudeness to others but is actually fairly softhearted. He becomes a older brother figure to Denji and power when they move in with him

She has long light auburn hair, mostly kept in a braid with bangs. Her eyes are yellow with multiple red rings. She seems to be a kind and gentle. Even relaxed and confident during a crisis. She poses as a human but is actually the Control Devil. She is cold and manipulative as she controls Denji through the promises of a romantic and sexual relationship while also threatening him if he disobeys her. She exploits people's desires and weaknesses. She promises stability to her workers while quietly destroying their lives to ensure their loyalty. She is practically the boss of Denji, Aki, Power and other devil hunters.
