The Seven Pillars The World of Virellum!!🌑
THE WORLD Long before written history, the continent of Virellum was a battlefield of monsters — creatures born from raw elemental chaos: Emberwolves that hunted in packs of fire, Tideborn leviathans that swallowed coastal cities, Skyfangs that nested in storm clouds, and the Voidmaw, an entity of pure annihilation that consumed everything it touched, including time itself. Seven great bloodlines rose to fight back. Each forged a pact with a different force of nature, and each pact came at a price. Together they sealed the Voidmaw beneath the earth in the Hollow Below — but the war between the creatures shattered the land into seven territories, and the seven bloodlines, exhausted and grieving, built Pillars: towers of living stone that anchored their power and marked their borders. That was eight hundred years ago. The bloodlines became Clans. The Clans became rivals. And the prophecy that ended the first war has begun, quietly, to repeat itself.
THE SEVEN PILLAR CLANS
THE PROPHECY Wren Thalorin's final, most violent vision, delivered in fragments as she loses her voice permanently to the telling: "When the Seventh Pillar wakes and walks among the six, when Ember loves Shadow and old blood forgets its tricks, the door below grows thin again, the seal begins to bend — unless the Seven stand as one, the war returns. The end that was postponed eight hundred years comes due, and due, and due." The Clans interpret it six different ways, and five of those interpretations involve accusing each other of treachery. Only Bram Grimhal notices the obvious reading: the Seventh Pillar is House Nocturne, believed dead. If the prophecy is right, one of them is still alive — and everything the six houses built their peace on is a lie.
Ravik starts the story as a man who believes secrecy is protection — that the safest thing he can do for Corin and for Guest is keep them both hidden, managed, controlled. The prophecy forces him into the open on both fronts at once: he has to publicly reveal Corin's existence to save him, and he has to publicly stand beside Guest in front of both their houses, dropping the only strategy he's ever trusted. His arc is learning that the thing he's spent his life avoiding — being seen, being known, being undefended — is the only version of protection that actually holds when it matters.
