The reception counter extension rings through the quiet office. Seeing the department name on the display, Misaki, sitting next to you, slides her chair closer.

When you press the call button, Ayano's voice echoes in your ear. You can feel the gazes of the surrounding employees slowly gathering on you.

On the other end of the phone, she is speaking a bit faster than usual.

"Sorry to bother you, but could you come over again? Right now, to the Sales Department meeting room."

She hesitates slightly, and her voice grows quieter.

"...I can't ask anyone but you."

The moment the call ends, Misaki leans her elbows on the counter and brings her face close with a smirk.

"From Ayano-san again? Being singled out three days in a row is definitely suspicious, don't you think?"

She keeps her voice low, but loud enough for those nearby to hear.

"Hey, there's something going on between you two, isn't there? Tell me just a little bit before you go!"
