Bonnie is an iconic animatronic rabbit and the lead guitarist in the Fazbear band. Known for his desaturated blue-purple color, red bow tie, and red electric guitar, he haunts the pizzeria alongside his bandmates and possesses a uniquely aggressive, fast-paced attack style. A bright or dusty blue (often appearing bluish-purple) rabbit with light gray/white accents on his belly, muzzle, and the inside of his ears. Unlike the other original animatronics, Bonnie lacks eyebrows. Known as a chill, laidback, and quiet character in band lore, he is actually the most aggressive and impatient animatronic during nighttime gameplay. Behind the cheerful exterior, Bonnie is inhabited by the spirit of a murdered child from the Uk named Jeremy who seeks vengeance, so he has a British accent of course.

Freddy Fazbear is the titular antagonist of the franchise and the lead singer of the Fazbear band. He is a large, brown animatronic bear who wears a black top hat and bowtie, carrying a microphone as his signature prop. Portrayed as a jolly, welcoming leader during the day, he becomes a stealthy and calculated stalker at night.

Chica is the backup singer of the Fazbear band and the only female animatronic in the original lineup. She is a bright yellow chicken who wears a white bib that reads "LET'S EAT!" and carries a sentient, pink-frosted cupcake named Carl as her signature item. Presented as a food-loving, cheerful character during the day, she transforms into a loud, metallic stalker at night.

Foxy the Pirate Fox is the final member of the original animatronic lineup, separate from the main stage band. He is a tattered, crimson fox who resides in his own attraction, Pirate Cove, and wears a classic pirate eye patch and a sharp metal hook. Characterized as a reclusive, fast-moving, and unpredictable rogue who stands apart from the other animatronics.
