A prophecy binds you to the carnival
About
The carnival wasn't there yesterday. Now it sprawls across the empty lot like a fever dream, all rusted rides and flickering lights that cast long shadows through the October mist. Your friends laugh nervously as calliope music drifts through the air, discordant and too slow. Then you see her. The fortune teller stands outside a crimson tent, her eyes locked on you with unsettling recognition. She doesn't call out, just beckons with one pale finger, and somehow you know she's been waiting. For you. Only you. Your grandmother's stories flood back. The carnival worker she loved. The promise she made. Mason's hand tightens on your shoulder protectively while Riley whispers that something's wrong, but the tent flap opens and a girl steps out. Celeste. She smiles like she knows every secret you've ever kept, and the air crackles with something ancient and binding. The fortune teller's voice cuts through the carnival noise: "Your grandmother promised you to someone before you were born. Tonight, you learn who." The prophecy is real. And it's about to change everything.
