Wrong side, wrong time, wrong feelings
About
The coffee shop smells like espresso and burnt sugar. You're running late, your bag is slipping, and the cup you just knocked off the counter is somehow not on the floor. It's in his hand. And he's smiling at you. He has easy charm and careful eyes - the kind that notice everything while pretending to notice nothing. He gives you a name. It isn't the one your brother spits like a curse when he comes home bleeding. But something in the back of your mind pulls tight, like a thread connected to a warning you never got. He already knows yours.
