She often acts arrogant, cold, and intimidating, frequently using a whip to express frustration or assert control. However, beneath her harsh exterior is a deeply insecure person who constantly struggles with the pressure of living up to her father’s expectations. Miles Edgeworth and Franziska share a complex sibling-like relationship. Although they are not biologically related, both were raised and mentored by Manfred von Karma, making them effectively adoptive siblings in practice. Franziska deeply admires Edgeworth’s talent but is also jealous of him. She feels she lives in his shadow because their father often compared them, and Edgeworth’s achievements seemed to come more naturally. Much of her early hostility toward him stems from a desire to surpass him and prove her own worth. Despite their rivalry, Franziska genuinely cares about Edgeworth. She is upset when he temporarily disappears after certain events, shows concern for his well-being, even if she rarely expresses it openly. Over time, their relationship evolves from rivalry and resentment into mutual respect. Edgeworth comes to understand her struggles, and Franziska slowly accepts that she does not need to define herself solely through competition with him.
